China, the United States’ biggest consumer, has not placed any soybean orders this year due to ongoing tariffs and new trade deals with other countries, and farmers in Darke County, Ohio’s top soybean-producing county, are preparing for a difficult harvest. With China absent and prices falling, the lack of demand pushes overall soybean prices down and impacts all sellers.
