One
hundred twenty four photographers from across the state
submitted 1,937 entries in the 56th annual contest.
Judging the competition were: Brian Peterson, photo
coach and staff photographer at the Minneapolis Star
Tribune; Cliff Schiappa, Associated Press Regional
Photo Editor for the Midwest Region, based in Kansas
City, Mo.; and Jeanie Adams-Smith, assistant professor
at Western Kentucky University.
